Large abstract painting art, colorful pictures we painted as artist-duo Benfo with strong inspiration of the French landscape in Bourgondy, France. The city Avallon invited us to exhibit and work Saint Pierre and La Fabrique.. So we painted in the Roman church St Pierre a series of large abstract paintings. Our main inspiration was the river Le Cousin and its valley, near Avallon. Nature turns into abstract.

Colorful abstract art in large paintings, we made together as artist-duo 'BenFo'. These are the paintings we made together after photographs of the river Cousin, near Avallon. It was a preparation to our coming project, location Avallon. There we had a large show of three years Benfo-paintings, as well as a public studio in the late Roman church St. Pierre. We made 15 large abstracts there: large colorful paintings.

During the Dutch art manifestation Lek Art, in eartly autumn of 2008 we painted together as Benfo a serie paintings in the mill ´the Hope´ in the old city Culemborg, situated along river the Lek. The public could watch us these days painting a serie canvasses with as inspiration the vue from the mill over the city and country and the interior of the mill itself.

It is obvious we were looking this period for transparancy and openess in the paintings we did together, a soft and gentle atmosphere.It is in later years that the more expressieve paintings were made with a lot of gesture.
